ROY ROGERS: KING OF THE COWBOYS (1992) **Colorado Premiere**
Never released in the USA! A rare screening of the 1992 documentary by renowned Dutch filmmaker Thys Ockersen who enjoyed his childhood in the fifties watching Roy Rogers pictures in the local cinema. Many years later he begins his search for the famous singing cowboy and his wife Dale Evans. A journey that starts in Amsterdam with a meeting with Roy's granddaughter, Mindy, to the other side of the globe. On his travels Thys meets various co-stars of Roy and Dale, and their director William Witney. And than there's the Roy Rogers Museum in Victorville, California where Thys ultimately connects with his famous subjects and their legendary ‘stuffed’ Trigger.
