MASTERS OF THE GRIND (2008) **Work in Progress**
The definitive documentary on the 60’s to 80’s Cult and Exploitation film era (also known as Grindhouse cinema). At IFFC ’07, filmmaker Jason Rutherford presented an early promo reel, and this year he will present his first full-length cut. Lawrence David Foldes (Malibu High, Young Warriors), Greydon Clark (Black Shampoo), Joel M. Reed (Blood Sucking Freaks) and a myriad of other directors discuss the highs and lows of the exploitation genre that launched all of their careers and nearly bankrupted some of them. The film features a variety of classic movie clips from Young Warriors, Children Shouldn’t Play With Dead Things, Satan's Cheerleaders, Bloodbath, Scream Bloody Murder, Malibu High, The Bad Bunch and more!!!!!
