A Salute to Director RANDAL KLEISER
The Independence Film Fest of Colorado is proud to present a special evening with renowned director Randal Kleiser, one of the industry’s most creative and diverse directors. Kleiser’s first feature, “Grease”, starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, became the most successful movie musical ever made. Following “Grease” he directed “The Blue Lagoon” starring Brooke Shields, “Summer Lovers” with Daryl Hannah, and
the surfing classic “North Shore” which he also wrote, “Grandview U.S.A.”, “Flight of the Navigator”; “Honey,I Blew Up the Kid”, “Lovewrecked” starring Amanda Bynes, and the beloved Jack London classic “White Fang”, starring Ethan Hawke for Walt Disney Pictures. His 1996 drama “It's My Party” is one of the most touching chronicles ever put on film of a dying man’s plight with AIDS and his final days.
The IFFC is proud to present a special retrospective evening with Mr. Kleiser at the historic Avalon Theater on Sun., Sept. 14th at 7pm, followed by a screening of his hit musical “Grease”.
