THE WORLD IN TWO ROUND TRIPS (2008) ** US Premiere **
Ten years in the making, brazilian filmmaker David Schurmann’s fascinating film is an award winning documentary about the adventures of the legendary Schurmann family on a ‘round the world’ journey, as they sail in the wake of Admiral Ferdinand Magellan, who’s expedition was the first to sail around the world 500 years ago.  The same routes, the same seas, the same continents, islands and archipelagos, separated in time by five centuries.  A captivating true story filled with storms, battles, mutinies, pirate attacks, and the wide array of daily events and hardships experienced by seamen in the past and present.  An absorbing adventure not to be missed!  Running time: 80 min.  (In Portuguese with English subtitles)
